Hans Garon
Guitar
Hans Garon has gained recognition as a standout guitarist from the early stages of his career, which has encompassed numerous styles from classical to jazz, rock, pop, and more. In 2008 Garon earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University’s Setnor School of Music, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the college’s highest distinction, the VPA Scholar’s award. Garon then went on to earn a Master of Music Degree from the Yale University School of Music where he studied with Benjamin Verdery on a full-tuition scholarship, as well as a Yale Fellowship. Garon has performed throughout the United States for numerous distinguished institutions such as the Connecticut Classical Guitar Society, the Hartt School of Music, and the Alexandria Guitar Festival to name a few. His classical guitar performances have received recognition in multiple competitions, including the D’Addario Classical Guitar Competition in both 2006 and 2007, where he was both a finalist and winner.
