Violin / Viola / Cello (Age 5 to Adults)
Our private lessons for violin, viola, and cello, led by skilled professional performers are based upon traditional string teaching methods. HMA students will first learn scales and proper intonation, positions, and finally, repertoire. While beginners will start their repertoire study with short pieces, advanced students will explore Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary periods of music. Preparation for orchestral performance is also given. MTAC (Music Teachers Association of California) certificates are available for violin at HMA.
